As for affiliates... meh.
I would love to have any and all Halo related bloggers link us up (providing that they are good). I will be adding a blog to Halomega soon and will work on those relationships more at that time.
I'm not overly interested in affiliating with other forums.
There are several reasons for this that would just bore you if I got into them. The Halo community is a shadow of what it was a year or two ago. Remember, Halo 2 is kind of an old game now. H3 will doubtlessly be bringing in a TON of new folks though and the best place to catch their attention isn't other forums - mostly because I outrank almost all of them now for key generic halo query phrases.
What will be key is getting the folks that do land here to sign up, stay and become active members. We'll be doing that by providing anything they can get in any other forum and then some in terms of facilities, tournaments, and quality of experience.
and by slacker i meant slacker in the sense of lazy. I need the descriptions on the videos we're asking for in the form to be nice and descriptive.
As for announcements... I'll look into that again. I already have Rafael assigned to make some tweaks to the default skin (there are a few things I really just don't like about it) so we'll look at announcements in the near future as well.

Affiliation would greatly help us bring in more members seeing now were in a downfall, I don't see why Affiliation would be a bad thing.
Regarding Merks post, we should definantly show more announcements, so new members can see whats going on, etc.

We need to make stuff more clear for new members. When i first joined the forum, i couldnt find anything. It took me like 3 days to find the vPlaza menu.

I told the admins at that site very plainly- 'if you don't get mods that strictly enforce the rules against flaming and spamming, your going to lose your members'. And well, my point is being proven daily with their own members coming over here. :-)

And well, my point is being proven daily with their own members coming over here. :-)
I'm trying to see if Cipha would want to come back, he was one of the best mods, even though everyone called him a d-rider.
I personally, would love it if we could get members NOT from Halownage. I mean, the reason I came over here again, was because the community over there, was SO bad. The flaming was terrible, and noone does anything about it. Its going to ruin my idea if all them come over here, and ruin this site as well. :-/

on top of that about 9 out of the 13 mods suck sooo bad....this site has so much more potential.

Yeah and I was talking to their admin last night, and we had a long 'debate' and he kept saying basically "im working on controlling the flaming, its delicate."
I'm thinking 'WTF can be so complicated and hard about having a mod delete the flame post, and PM the flamer saying: If it happens again, you get a 3 day ban
There you go, problem solved. But apparently that site can't handle its members, so I officially left last night. I made a goodbye thread and everything lol. So now I'll be posting my stuff here among other sites. :-)
