I dont think its fair, i liked that they had the name change thing but it needs to be temporary as for the getting rid of points i don't think thats fair, people mod for fun and cheating is really only a weakness in a game, and if you are skilled enough to know these tricks then good for you. like the BXR and Double shot, those are problems with the games, people shouldn't be punished for them the developers should.
Ouch for cheaters.
