We can either increase the numbers of regs and have something like the HoC Elite (or whatever name you guys want it to have) as a extra section for the mods + Admin + the members that seriously mean something, people like Scott for instance.
Or we just keep the regs like it is and only allow members that seriously mean something, because some people (imo...) don't really deserve to be a regular because they just spam a lot.

That's what I've been trying to say. It's not fair if you meet the Regular-ship requirements but can't be a regular. Although i do like the idea Kabooz was saying. About the 'elite'.
I also agree with not de-regging unless it is certain that the member will not return.The people who are Tired of All /THIS\ Shit ,and have decided to take a break for a few days/weeks shouldn't be deregged.
If They have said "Fk it i'm done", and havn't posted in 3 months, These are grounds for ATLEAST "de-regging", if not deletion.
Lol deletion? How many people have you seen leave this site and actually NOT come back, everyone checks back every once in a while, that's all I did for a bit.
I think eventually people do get tired with the site and their visiting along with posting slows down to the point where they really aren't regulars anymore, that's the point when I think they should have their rank changed to "Former Reg" or somethin like that.

whats rediculous is the regular spot just got handed out to a bunch of people who post alot, and might represent the site well. The donators should be regulars no doubt in my mind, but the people who are respected and are pretty active should have the spot as a regular as well. your right that we have to many, and to be 100% honest i think we should restart, clear all current regs and have the mods and administrators talk about who would best represent the site, not based on post count. The regular spot was just kinda thrown out to people, i know cause funky polak did it when he was a mod. the best thing for the site IMO would just be to clear all current regs and appoint new ones, and maybe some of the old ones too.

Well enough regs deserve the position to make sure that doesn't happen.
Maybe in the beginning it was different but I've never seen a single reg get the rank because of their post count, of coarse it had a lot to do with their posts in general, but we recognize spam and all that shit.
One thing about being a reg is also how long people have been active for. For some reason people think that just because a reg isn't as active as he used to be and prob. wouldn't gain the rank now they don't deserve to be a reg. Its the fact that they did what it took to become a reg and the fact that they are still active that allows them to continue being a reg.
How many people have wee seen who were at some point had a very high activity but didn't stay consistent at all, you don't just get to spike your activity for a week or two and become a reg then slow down, anyone can do that.

What I'm saying is unless he donated, or a reg/don/mod has told him about that thread in the section he doesnt know weve already discussed this and chose that we have to many, not that we need more.

you shouldn't be a reg just cuz you got a certain number of posts. Reg status should be gained through making friends here on HoC,while maintaining a constant activity on the site.
The # of regs shouldn't be boosted until there are like 10,000 members.
Like 5% of members should be reg(i guess thats what i'm trying to say).
Ps Yoshi: i don't know if you realize this or not, but the people who want somthing usually don't get it. Mosts of the regs didn't petition for the spot.
IMO: they got it b/c they didn't give a shit.

First off I don't meet requirements, nor do I desire to be a regular, so don't interpret this as me whining about wanting to be a reg.
Sure there may be only a few regulars, but it seems more like there are none because you guys are only active in the regular section. What's the point of being a regular if your not contributing to the actual community?
