The forum already was working perfectly. The page doesnt actually do anything poitive fir the site that the new posts button doesn't, apart from add a video player showing some of the worse montages ever to grace a forum.

Based on my experience with building sites and forums I can assure you that the new index does a whole lot more for the site than making it 'look different'.
If you don't like the montages or think you can do better, you are certainly welcome to submit your own.
