(I'm assuming your double negative wasn't intentional and that you don't see the point rather than you don't
not see the point - which would be completely different. My BA is in English/Ed -- I can't help it...)
The concept of the main page is to give you a quick spot to check out the main/featured posts/content of the day. That's the point of having it. It's quick and easy look at what is 'important' that day.
It's also a place for us to feature the newest videos, SOTW winners and make important announcements.
